Three horror themed shows? I think I'm in heaven.

I am slightly interested in Kuroshitsuji 2 (still need to watch the 1st season) but other than that there really isn't anything I'm excited about.

I didn't look at the full list. I just saw High School of the Dead and popped for it.

I have to say, the only two I'm interested in are HSotD and that one with the Taiga doppleganger.

High School of the Dead AND Sengoku Basara season 2?

GUNS. THEY'VE BEEN PUT ON.

Then again, those are the only 2 shows that look interesting to me. I mean, no mecha this Summer? Seems kind of...disturbing.

Wait, what Taiga doppleganger? Did I miss it somewhere?

...Just by looking at the short description of HSotD, is it just me or does anyone else think that's not enough content to last a season? It's one freaking highschool, how long can it take to escape from it?! >_>

You'd be surprised how good studios have gotten at dragging things out.

Looking at this list, the one thing I can conclude is that the only thing worth watching here (at least personally) would be HSotD.
I never got too into Sengoku Basara and everything else seems very... I dunno, bland?

You've never read the manga, have you? They escape the highschool pretty quickly. Then they try to get to friends, family, etc. There's a mall, apartment complex, etc they also traverse through, so there's plenty for a full season.

High School of the Dead.

Sengoku Basara 2.

That's all I need. That's all I'm covering, haha.

High School of the Dead: Most misleading title ever.

Believe me, there's far more than just a highschool full of zombies they have to deal with. They run into everything from a cult led by a twisted teacher to the armored complex of an ultra Right-wing Nationalist party (conveniently stocked to the brim with weapons and military personel) to a mall complex.

In other words, just about everything you'd ever see in your typical zombie movie.

But no Mecha! Where is my Mecha??!!!!

This is only the first draft. There are 36 different shows this season, I doubt there will be only 16 for the summer so there may be more. Maybe Gundam UC episode 2?

The next Gundam Unicorn OAV is scheduled for autumn, I believe.

Time for me to be excited about 7+ series...then have it narrowed down to about 2 after a few weeks. The ol' "Be lazy and be berated because you forget 'about the other stuff' by other people" routine...how it's become a staple in my life so much...

I run the "don't watch anything your brothers are" paradigm. It's a lot harder compared to yours, but the benefits are unquestionably worth it.

You have to look past the obvious offerings for anything worth watching if that's how you feel. This entire year there is only one show I want to watch and I can't even talk about it here. Yet.

I just found out there's a Kure-nai OAV (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=11267) scheduled for this summer. I'm pretty excited about that :) (especially since there aren't many other releases to look forward to)

I stopped caring after those last few episodes. What Brain's Base should be doing is produce another episode of Denpa Teki na Kanojo because that's actually getting more interesting.

I don't think I've seen Denpa Teki na Kanojo yet. I probably should. I'm quite fond of most Brain's Base productions I've seen (except for Akikan...) so I'm definately interested.

Well that'll be something to look forward to. Not sure why, but I enjoyed Kure-nai quite a bit more than I expected.

Lol its practically mandatory now to watch high school of the dead since everyone talking so well about it XD I kind of feel like I should be reading the manga before the anime comes out but I sounds interesting so I'll be checking it out. Also Occult academy and Shi Ki kinda of stand out to me but, the summary is weak so I don't know about those. Sengoku Basara 2 sounds awesome though. I should go watch the first one ^^;

Occult Academy is part of Anime no Chikara, so prepare to be disappointed.

Nice Zettai Ryouiki though.

Still going to go with Highschool of the Dead, Shi Ki, and Seikimatsu Occult Gakuin. I'm adding Cat Shit One and Amagami SS.

In reality I'll probably only watch Highschool of the Dead and drop it halfway because that's how I roll.

Oh nice.

Tono to Issho looks interesting but apparently the OVA wasn't that great so I won't get my hopes up. Shi Ki seems like a slick horror but I just found out the mangaka behind this is Fujisaki Ryu, whose manga have never impressed me in the slightest. As for Cat Shit One, I really have no idea what to think of 3D talking bunnies blowing eachother up in a Call of Duty-esque gray-brown Middle East setting. I'm going to assume there's more to this title than the trailer is willing to show because if there isn't, this is the worst anime concept I've seen in a while.

Highschool of the Dead doesn't appeal to me but I will still watch it because Araki Tetsuro is directing it. Everything else looks like crap.

Highschool of the Dead, Amagami SS, Cat Shit One (maybe, depends on much they abuse the "cute animals killing each other" angle), and Sengoku Basara 2 (of course) for me. For summer, that's not too bad. Then again, I'm no elitist so my standards are probably pretty low in comparison.

Also, The Legend of the Legendary Heroes? I seriously hope it's meant to be a satire.
