Code Geass Question

I know this is pretty random, but I have a question about Code Geass.

I can't for the life of me remember where I read something about how the plot of Code Geass R2 was supposed to be different from what it ended up being because someone stole/destroyed the original script or something.

I read this years ago when the show was still airing, but now I can't remember where, and I've been trying to find it to show someone who recently got into the show.

I've been googling the hell out of it, but I haven't found anything useful. Does anyone remember the source of this story/claim? Or is it possible that I'm going crazy and just imagining stuff.

I always remember it being that they had to change the second season because they were moved to a timeslot where they had more TV restrictions.

I've never heard about them losing the original script. I did once read on ANN that Sunrise executives forced Taniguchi to make some pretty signifact changes to the original story in R2. Apparently this includes how the cliffhanger was handled (Spinzaku), the inclusion of the character Rolo (effectively inspiring loads of incestuous shotacon doujinshi) and the ambiguous, open ending (Taniguchi had planned to leave no doubt about what happened to Lelouch, but his superiors wanted to do an Evangelion).

I can't find the page though. Pretty sure this was posted on Japanator, actually, because I never visit ANN or any other anime-related blog by myself.

Alright, maybe I was talking out of my ass for the stolen script (did this happen to another anime? I really don't know where I got that notion from).

But at least you guys confirmed my suspicions that there were substantial changes to the story, characters, etc from the original concept for the story. And wow, even I didn't know that there was a "defined" ending for Lelouch instead of what we got. It makes me sad that we didn't get that version instead.
